Manchester Fertility Show 2018

We'll be attending the Manchester Fertility Show, being held from 24 - 25 March 2018 at the Manchester Central Convention Complex. The two day event brings together fertility experts, clinics and organisations, and features an extensive seminar programme.

Kate Brian, HFEA Authority member will be giving two talks over the weekend:

Treatment add-ons. Do they add up?

Sunday 25 March (10.45 – 11.30)

Cost plays a very important role when choosing treatment and can be a source of great anxiety. Kate Brian explains about add-ons and what they mean.

Factors to consider when choosing a fertility clinic

Sunday 25 March (15.45 – 16.40)

Getting the right fit is just as essential as comparing success rates when deciding on a fertility clinic. Kate Brian, journalist, broadcaster, author of bestselling book The Complete Guide to IVF, mother of two IVF children has been through it all. In this talk she guides you through the issues from a clinic’s location, culture, specialisations and waiting times to analysing costs and using the mass of data available on the HFEA website, data that clinics are legally obliged to provide on the outcomes of their fertility treatments, in order to compare success rates.

Our HFEA team will be on hand throughout the show to offer help and guidance – visit us on stand B14 for free, friendly advice. You can also pick up a copy of our updated ‘Getting started guide’; this includes information on how and when to seek fertility treatment, guidance for choosing a clinic, different treatment options available, fertility preservation, and where to find further support and advice.
