Hereditary Diffuse Leukoencephalopathy with Spheroids 1 (HDLS1, also known as ALSP) is a
rare, adult-onset, autosomal dominant brain disorder caused by mutations in the CSF1R gene, leading to progressive cognitive decline, personality/behavioural changes (depression, executive dysfunction), motor issues (parkinsonism, spasticity), and eventually dementia.
