Reduction: Sometimes it may be necessary to reduce the number of foetuses growing in the womb. This can be either to protect the health of the mother or to allow at least one foetus to survive and produce a healthy child. With fewer embryos being transferred during IVF treatments, the need for fetal reductions lessens.
