GIFT - chance of success
Although a number of clinics are licensed to offer GIFT, very few practise the procedure because demand is so low.
As patients who are offered GIFT are normally those who have had failed IVF attempts, success rates tend to reflect this.
Very few cycles were carried out and reported to the HFEA in 2007, so check with your clinic for up-to-date statistics. Like most fertility treatments, GIFT is most successful in younger women.
