Roger Neuberg is 65, lives in Leicester and has been a Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist at the Leicester Royal Infirmary since 1975. He set up the Infertility Clinic in 1976 and became Director of Infertility Services in 1988 when the Assisted Conception Unit was established. He was 'person responsible' from 1991 until his retirement (from the NHS) in 2006.
He has very significant experience in all aspects of assisted reproduction and has managed and carried out over 2500 IVF treatment cycles. He has worked as an HFEA Clinical Inspector for the last ten years. He is a founder member of the Association of Broadcasting Doctors and has extensive media experience and has been invited by the Royal College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists to join their panel of consultants to answer media queries.
Since 2004 he has been a member of the Executive Committee of the ALSO (UK) (Advanced Life Support Obstetrics) Advisory Board and instructs frequently on courses both nationally and internationally. In November 2006 he was appointed Chairman of ALSO (UK).
