A - Z of licensed services

This list provides details of all fertility treatment clinics that are licensed by the HFEA.

The list contains:

  • Name and address of the centre
  • Name of the Person Responsible - who has legal responsibility for the running of the centre
  • The details of the centre's current licence, including expiry date and what activities the centre is licensed to do

Under the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Act 1990 (as amended) anyone wishing to carry out In-vitro fertilisation,  Insemination, storage of human embryos or research on human embryos must have a licence from the HFEA. Services carrying out storage  processing, testing, procurement or distribution of human gametes (eggs and sperm) for human use must also have a licence from the HFEA. 

Other clinics can have a legal arrangement with a licensed clinic to provide certain services. These are known as Satellite or Transport clinics.
