Professional and patient bodies will be meeting on 28 March to drive forward the national strategy to minimise multiple pregnancies following fertility treatment. In particular they will be agreeing the strategy´s mission statement and discussing ways to share the progress of the strategy with the sector.

Alan Doran, HFEA Interim Chief Executive, participated in a debate on the 'Future of Stem Cell Research in the UK' organised by Bristows law firm at the Royal Society on 6 March.
The HFEA has released the latest information for clinics and patients on the new restrictions on the transportation of sperm, eggs and embryos within the European Economic Area (EEA).
A new form is available to enable donors who donated anonymously before April 2005 to re-register if they now wish to become identifiable.

University of York researchers are carrying out a study of current UK clinic practices in helping sperm, egg and embryo donors complete the reasons for donating. This includes the goodwill message and pen portrait sections of the HFEA donor information form.
