Health Minister Hazel Blears today announced the appointment of a new member to the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority (HFEA).
The Human Fertilisation & Embryology Authority (HFEA) has granted a licence to the Roslin Institute so that they can improve the technology to produce and maintain human embryonic stem cells in culture.
The HFEA is introducing an Incident Alert System to warn clinics about any incident which could have an adverse effect on patient care and staff safety. It will be the duty of the Person Responsible in each clinic to check their equipment or procedures and take avoiding action so that mistakes are not repeated.
