The Code of Practice version 9.4 is now available
This new version of the Code of Practice contains information on the 2022 changes to the law on the storage of gametes and embryos as well as smaller changes to other areas of guidance.
The Code of Practice version 9.4 comes into effect from 26 October 2023. The Code of Practice is our key guidance document, setting out the law and our guidance so that fertility clinics can continue to deliver safe treatment in line with legal requirements.
This update of the Code of Practice contains revisions to 17 of the 33 guidance notes on topics including the storage of gametes and embryos, CE marked medical devices, egg sharing arrangements, complaints and ‘rescue’ ICSI.
