Deputy Chair, Ms Gemma Hobcraft
Biography
Ms Gemma Hobcraft is a self-employed Barrister practising in health care regulatory law, extradition and public law.
She has a strong background in sexual and reproductive health and rights. She was a founding member of the Youth Coalition, an organisation of young advocates working internationally for Sexual and Reproductive Rights.
Her LL.M (in Human Rights Law) dissertation was written on access to Assisted Reproductive Technologies (ART)
Gemma is a member of the Executive Committee of the Human Rights Lawyers Association and a Trustee of the sexual health charity, Brook.
She joined the HFEA in September 2008.
