HFEA Corporate strategy
The HFEA’s strategic objectives set out our key major aspirations for the medium term future. We discussed a wide range of issues and drivers when developing these objectives.
Our 5 strategic objectives focus on:
- Our role and the boundaries between ourselves and other organisations
- Meeting the needs of existing fertility service users and stakeholder groups
- Identifying and addressing the needs of new and emergent stakeholder groups
- HFEA data used for research purposes
- Improvements to organisational performance and governance
Note: This Corporate Strategy was launched just before the Department of Health announced a range of planned changes under the ALB Review. The ALB Review announcement has meant that some of the activities planned in this strategy therefore had to be set aside pending clarity about the HFEA’s future. The HFEA will consider its strategic position going forward, during the final year of this strategy, so as to ensure that good planning and appropriate governance arrangements remain in place regardless of surrounding circumstances.
