HFEA reach out of Court settlement

Dr Dalziel and the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority have reached agreement in an out of Court settlement.
As Chief Executive Dr Dalziel initiated reforms to improve the regulatory compliance function of the HFEA and successfully negotiated substantial funding that transformed the HFEA's information systems and contributed towards securing a sound financial basis for the future.
Dr Dalziel commented: "As Chief Executive I was able to steer the Authority through challenging times and developed the foundations for the future. I am glad to see that the Board is continuing with this process of reform. The Authority works in a complex environment and these reforms will enable it to continue to maintain the complete confidence of the public, the medical professions and the scientific community. I am pleased that the Authority and I have been able to reach this agreement and I wish the Authority well for the future."
Ms Suzi Leather said: "I wish Maureen well in her future career and recognise and thank her for the contribution she has made."
