Summary of request

The Authority was asked for information regarding incidents, licence conditions and egg collection by Origin Fertility Care.

HFEA response

Four incidents involving OHSS were reported to the HFEA by Origin Fertility Care between 05/07/2011 and 04/07/2012.

Origin Fertility Care reported 15 cases where 20 or more eggs were collected in treatment cycles taking place between 01/07/2010 and 30/06/2011. The HFEA were notified by Origin Fertility Care that they re-opened on 25/07/2012.

The HFEA has not imposed any conditions (beyond the standard HFEA licence conditions) on the clinic’s licence.
