Genetic condition awaiting consideration - Autosomal recessive dopa-responsive dystonia

Dystonia is a neurological movement disorder characterised by involuntary muscle spasms and contractions that can be painful and result in repetitive involuntary movements and abnormal postures.

Autosomal recessive dopa-responsive dystonia may present from birth and be accompanied by developmental motor delay and mental retardation.
