Summary of request

The Authority was asked for information about pre-implantation genetic diagnosis (PGD) for the year 2005.

HFEA response

A search of our records shows there were 10 centres licensed by the HFEA to carry out Pre-implantation Genetic Diagnosis (PGD) in 2005. Table 26 of our Long Term Data publication provides information about the number cycles, patients, births, babies and the live birth rate for PGD in 2005, which can be found on our website here: http://www.hfea.gov.uk/fertility-treatment-trends.html
