Ms Jane Dibblin
Jane Dibblin has worked as a journalist, documentary director and writer.
Her films for television include the series ‘Terror and the Truth’ (BBC2) exploring issues of justice and reconciliation in the wake of violent conflict, which won the European Human Rights ECHO award; and ‘Power Play’ (BBC2) looking at struggles for power within the UN, which won the New York UNCA award.
One of her first jobs was deputy editor of a magazine on international relations for European Nuclear Disarmament, edited by Mary Kaldor.
She was later foreign editor of The New Statesman, and was a contributor to The Guardian and The Observer .
She is the author of ‘Day of Two Suns: Nuclear Testing and the Pacific Islanders’ (Virago) and ‘Wherever I Lay my Hat: Young Women and Homelessness’ (Shelter Publications).
Jane is a qualified psychotherapeutic counsellor and previously ran a large private practice.
After many years of infertility and treatment she and her partner were delighted to adopt two girls who are now 11 and 9. She now has a particular interest in attachment therapy for children and families.
Jane currently works part-time as a consultant executive producer, working on films for the Open University. She likes to spend time after school and during school holidays with her children.
