HFEA response
The most recent ten year period of validated data available for release is 2000-2009 and the information requested for these years is set out in the table below. The figures are for all HFEA licensable fertility treatment so, that includes donor insemination and treatments involving in vitro fertilisation, such as standard IVF and ICSI. It does not include partner insemination. To give the number of neonatal deaths context we have also provided the total number of babies born following fertility treatment, which includes those that subsequently suffered neonatal death.
This information was extracted from the HFEA’s data warehouse containing Register data on 03/02/2012. Please note that the information in our database may be subject to change as licensed centres notify us of information that updates or corrects information they have previously supplied. Outcomes up to 31 December 2009 have been subject to a verification process, and the centres that supplied the data have been asked to confirm their accuracy, for which they remain responsible.
