Dr Andy Greenfield

Dr Greenfield read Genetics at Cambridge University and went on to gain a PhD in the specialism of Mouse Molecular Genetics, followed by an M.A in Philosophy.

For the past 13 years, Dr Greenfield has been Programme Leader at the Medical Research Council in Harwell. His core-funded research is concerned with the molecular genetics of mammalian sexual development, primarily the identification of genes important for the genetic development of the laboratory mouse. At the Medical Research Council, Dr Greenfield has supervised PhD students and has visited various local schools to discuss genetics and conduct practical demonstrations to students.

Dr Greenfield is currently a member of the MRC College of Experts and was previously a member of the MRC Microarray Prioritisation Committee (MPC), between 2000 and 2003; and was a member of the Welcome Trust Modules, Genes and Cell Funding Panel between 2003 and 2007.
