F-2011-00249 - Government Procurement Card spending

Summary of request

The Authority was asked for copies of all statements for government procurement cards used by staff at the HFEA since March 2010. Also, information about the number of cards in use at the HFEA, the staff to whom they have been allocated and any guidelines on their use.

HFEA response

The HFEA has recently received several requests for information about government procurement card usage. In responding to these the Authority has released lists of government procurement card transactions covering March 2008 to July 2011 and a statement on the number of cards, guidelines and staff issued with the cards.

The information requested can therefore be found in previous Authority responses to requests for information under the FOI Act on our website at:  http://www.hfea.gov.uk/6618.html and http://www.hfea.gov.uk/6588.html . As this information is reasonably accessible via the HFEA website, it is exempt from disclosure under section 21 FOIA and the request is, accordingly, refused. Please note that the FOI Act provides a right of access to information rather than copies of documents.
