Summary of request
The Authority was asked for information about the proportion of fertility treatment that takes place in the private rather than the NHS sector.
HFEA response
The tables in the attached document show, for the years for which relevant the data is available (2007 to 2009):
(1) the funding status as a percentage of of the treatments carried out at each type of centre within each year, and
(2) the funding status as a percentage of all treatments carried out in each year.
