Summary of request

The Authority was aked for a list of all IVF and DI clinics that have so far existed in UK.

HFEA Response

The attached document lists all clinics that HFEA records show as having been licensed for IVF or DI by the HFEA (i.e. since 1 August 1991), divided into currently active clinics and closed clinics.  (The list does not include storage-only or research-only centres.)  The HFEA does not hold comprehensive information about those clinics that operated prior to the HFE Act 1990 coming into force.
