Trish Davies to step down as Director of Compliance in March 2010

Trish Davies is to step down from her position as Director of Compliance on 31 March 2010.

Trish has been with the Authority as the Director responsible for the inspection and assessment of licensed centres for six years. In that time she has overseen the shift to a fully employed team of professional Inspectors, the introduction of the EU Tissues and Cells Directive and, most recently, the re-design of the Authority Compliance Cycle. Trish was instrumental in setting up the Licensed Centres Panel as a link between the Authority and clinics and has personally led much of our EU and international work.

Trish said: “ With the fundamental overhaul of our processes and systems to bring them into line with the new Act now set to be delivered, I decided this was the right time to step down and pursue my other interests.”

Alan Doran, interim Chief Executive, said: “Trish has been a mainstay of the Authority during a time of great change and challenge. She has left her mark on the way we ensure compliance and she leaves with our best wishes for the future.”
