What is a Licence Holder?

The Licence Holder can be an organisation such as a health trust or a senior member of the management team. The Licence Holder is the only person who can apply to vary the licence in order to appoint another person as the Person Responsible. It is, therefore, recommended that someone other than the person seeking recognition as the Person Responsible is nominated in this role.

Either the Person Responsible or the Licence Holder may apply for a licence or its variation or revocation.
