Dear Colleague,

At its meeting on 17th September 2008, the HFEA agreed a revised policy for the collection, confirmation and publication of register data. This policy clearly sets out the roles and responsibility of the HFEA on the one hand, and PRs and licensed centres on the other.

The HFEA has issued new directions implementing this policy. These directions (D.2008/6) replace directions D.2006/6; D2007/1; D2007/7; and the requirements for signing-off data set out in Chair’s letter CE(06)08.

Both the revised policy and the new Directions will come into force on 1st November 2008.
