Success Rates at Licensed Centres

Further to my letter of 14 February we appear not to have received a copy of the information you publish or provide for people seeking treatment(s) offered at your centre. There is currently a good deal of interest in this topic and the Authority is actively considering the issue of what information should be available for patients and HFEA inspection teams. It is vital that we are able to take into account the ways in which all centres present their success rates.

We are also interested in your views on what information the Authority might make available to potential patients to enable them to compare the treatment offered at individual centres. If you have ideas or comments on how comparative data on treatment outcomes might be formulated and presented please send them to us with your current information.

A stamped addressed envelope was previously enclosed for your reply and we would be grateful to receive it by 25 April 1994 at the latest.
