Annual Report 1995

I enclose a copy of the Authority's fourth Annual Report which has been published today.  The Annual Report gives details of the Authority's activities over the past year and provides national data on the outcomes of in vitro fertilisation (IVF) and donor insemination (DI) treatments for 1993.  I hope you will find it informative in reporting on our work over the past year.

The Patients' Guide to DI and IVF Clinics

Also published today is the Authority's new "Patients' Guide". I have enclosed a copy as well the accompanying press release. This Guide follows months of consultation with clinics, patient groups, health authorities and interested members of the public.  The Authority believes it will be helpful in providing comprehensive information to prospective patients.

We are grateful to those of you who made submissions during the consultation, all of which were fully considered.
