HFEA Guide to lnfertility and Directory of Clinics

As you know the new HFEA Guide to Infertility was published in May. The Guide has stimulated a great deal of interest from patients and prospective patients and has been widely covered in the media, both in the national and regional press. Its success is very much due to the information you provided from your clinic and once again we would like to thank you for your assistance.

The publication of the national data also generated interest from clinics. We are keen to get the most use from this data and to share the analysis with you. Our Scientific and Clinical Advances Group is starting a project to analyse the national data including examining trends in the data, how we can share information to improve outcomes and how we might improve the presentation of data for next year's Guide. BFS, RCOG and ACE have been involved in discussing the project which we will outline in more detail to you. Meanwhile it would be very helpful for the project to have any feedback on this year's Guide or on the analysis and presentation of the data on outcome rates.
